It is a core digital platform for the university to integrate scientific research resources, empower academic innovation, and promote collaborative cooperation. Relying on the university’s high-level faculty led by academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the portal centrally brings together the university’s scientific research strength. It provides comprehensive information display, resource connection, and management services for various scientific research teams and research groups, supporting organized scientific research and the output of innovative achievements.
The university boasts strong scientific research faculty, laying a solid foundation for the innovative development of research teams. The university has a total of 3,351 faculty and staff members, including 666 with senior professional titles and 778 with associate senior professional titles; 2,171 full-time teachers and 418 postdoctoral researchers. The team gathers numerous high-level scientific research talents, including 4 members of the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, 3 chief scientists of the National 973 Program, 13 national-level experts with outstanding contributions, 26 recipients of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, 26 leading talents of the “Ten-Thousand Talents Program,” and 25 young top-notch talents. These research backbones cover various disciplines and provide strong support for interdisciplinary collaboration and key project research among research groups.

Core Functions and Services of the Portal

With the core positioning of “openness, transparency, efficiency, and collaboration,” the portal builds an integrated ecosystem of “display‑collaboration‑management‑service.” Its core functions cover four modules:

Team and Talent Display

Integrates information of scientific research teams and research groups across the university, supporting classified retrieval by discipline, research direction, and faculty/school. Each team can display core research fields, member composition (including PI, key members, graduate students, etc.), and talent echelon construction, linking to personal homepages of team members to fully present the team’s scientific research strength and talent advantages.

Scientific Research Resources and Project Management

Supports the full life cycle management of scientific research projects, displaying ongoing and completed vertical projects, horizontal projects, university-level projects, etc. The whole process of project application, approval, implementation, and conclusion is presented in a timeline. It also integrates shared resources such as university scientific research instruments and experimental platforms, supporting instrument reservation and inquiry to optimize resource allocation and utilization. It links official platforms such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Key R&D Program for easy access to project application policies and information.

Achievements and Academic Exchange

Centrally displays scientific research achievements of each team, including papers, monographs, patents, software copyrights, standards, achievement transformation, and awards, supporting classified retrieval and access to original links. An academic news column is set up to release academic activities, conference notices, lecture information, and cooperation achievements, building a bridge for cross-team and cross-institution academic exchange. Teams can post academic cooperation needs to promote industry-university-research collaboration and international academic connections.

Exclusive Management and Service Portal

Provides an exclusive management backend for core members of scientific research teams and research groups, accessible and activated via the university’s unified identity authentication. Administrators can conveniently maintain team information, update research progress, post recruitment notices (including postdoctoral, research assistant, and graduate student enrollment), and manage team documents and resources. It also integrates scientific research office services, supporting online processing of project application submission, fund usage inquiry, achievement claim and filing, and connects with the university’s scientific research management system and financial system to improve team research management efficiency.

Target Users and User Guide

The portal serves two core user groups inside and outside the university:

Internally: It serves all scientific research teams, group members, and research managers, providing personalized management and collaboration services.

Externally: It serves research cooperation institutions, enterprises, outstanding students, and the public, acting as an important window to understand the university’s scientific research strength, seek cooperation, and apply for further study.

Members of university research teams can click the Login for Research Teams button at the top right of the page and log into the management backend via the university’s unified identity authentication to complete team page activation, information editing, content release, and other operations.
